Tourism is on the rise in the Spice Isle.

Tourist arrivals to Grenada were up 4.7 percent in the first three months of 2015, according to new data from the Caribbean Tourism Organization.

There were a total of 38,000 visitors to the island in the first quarter.

That was driven by an 11.9 percent increase in arrivals from the United States.

Arrivals from Canada slowed, however, with a 16.8 percent reduction in the same period.
