Jamaica tourism arrivals are up 5 percent so far in 2015, according to data from the Caribbean Tourism Organization.

The island saw 566,560 tourist arrivals in the first quarter of 2015, which represented a 5 percent jump over the same period last year.

That was driven by a 9.6 percent increase in arrivals from the United States; arrivals from Canada slowed considerably, however, with a 5.5 percent drop in the first quarter.

European tourism also posted growth, with a 9.9 percent jump over the first three months of 2015.
