Sandals is adding four new restaurants to its Sandals Grande Saint Lucian Spa and Beach Resort in St Lucia.

The project will see the opening of an indian eatery, Bombay Club; a Japanese restaurant, Kimonos; a sushi bar, Soy; and a a gourmet Caribbean Jerk Shack.

The latter has been added to a number of the property’s Caribbean resorts of late, most recently the rebranded Sandals Ochi Beach Resort in Jamaica.

The project will cost around $3.7 million USD and create 40 indirect and direct construction jobs.

“We have been [in St Lucia] for 23 years and a number of the employees who started with us are still playing a vital role in the organization. We are inspired by their contribution and the appeals of Saint Lucia’s mystique,” said Andre Dhanpaul, regional director for Sandals in the Eastern Caribbean.

The new eateries will give the resort 10 specialty restaurants.

“We believe that we have to keep reinventing ourselves as we move forward. Customers are looking for different experiences and are certainly becoming more demanding,” Dhanpaul said.
