It had been closed since 1988.
But now a famous Haitian cinema has new life following a long renovation project.
The Ciné Triomphe is slated to open this month following rehabilitation and renovation work that first began in 2012.
The cinema will also serve as a theatre and production space.
Haitian Prime Minister Evans Paul has said that the renovation of the Triomphe will “allow the promotion of Haitian production.”
The cinema is located in the Champ de Mars area of Port-au-Prince.
