Apple Leisure Group is adding yet another Caribbean resort.

The travel giant announced this week that it would expand in the Dominican Republic with Now Onyx Punta Cana, the company’s third new management deal in the country this year.

It will be the second Now Resorts & Spas property in Punta Cana.

“Apple Leisure Group has made a concerted effort to expand in the Dominican Republic in 2015,” said Alex Zozaya, Apple Leisure Group CEO. “The island continues to be a highly popular destination, and our established reputation and successful performance track record in the region will continue to fuel our aggressive growth across the Caribbean and beyond.”

The new project will break ground on June 1, with a scheduled opening in November 2016.

It will include 500 rooms and suites in the Uvero Alto region of Punta Cana.

“Our relationship with hotel owners in the Dominican Republic has consistently grown over the years,” said Javier Coll, executive vice president and chief strategy officer at Apple Leisure Group. “The strong return on investment and extensive distribution channels we are able to provide to hotel owners are two of the major differentiators that make AMResorts an ideal partner in the region.”
