Two New Properties On Way in St Lucia

There are two new St Lucia hotels coming on stream, according to the government.

The first hotel is a major project by Canadian travel giant Sunwing at the former Smugglers Hotel.

The second is a 100-room companion hotel to Dive Saint Lucia called Harbour Club; that project is now under construction at the Rodney Bay Marina.

St Lucia Prime Minister Kenny Anthony said the Sunwing project would create 1,200 jobs during construction and 600 full-time jobs upon completion.

At a recent budget address, Anthony said the government would “seek to stimulate growth in the economy and attract new investments by introducing policies to expand economic activity, introducing new investment options and increasing expenditure in public infrastructure.”
