Earthquake Causes Shaking in Saint Lucia, Martinique

A 4.6-magnitude earthquake caused shaking across St Lucia and Martinique on Thursday, according to the United States Geological Survey.

The earthquake struck at around 10:16 AM local time at a depth of 69 kilometres.

Its epicentre was about 65 kilometres east of Dennery, St Lucia and about 87 kilometres southeast of Le Francois in Martinique.

There were reports of light shaking across central Martinique, with reports of weak shaking in St Lucia and even reports of weak shaking as far south as Kingstown in St Vincent.

There were no reports of damage or injuries resulting from the quake
