Belmond La Samanna’s New Hire

The Belmond La Samanna resort in St Martin has named its newest director of sales and marketing.

The iconic Long Bay resort has named Tracey Fentem its new director of sales and marketing.

Fentem has previously served in roles at hotels including the former Ritz-Carlton Rose Hall in Jamaica and the Gansevoort Turks and Caicos, among others.

“We are thrilled to welcome Ms. Fentem to Belmond La Samanna,” said Michael Schoonewagen, general manager of the property. “Her expertise in luxury travel sales and marketing within the Caribbean market combined with her longtime dedication to the travel industry make her the ideal fit for the resort.”

In a statement, the resort said Fentem would “integrate her existing skill set of consultative sales, new business development, strategic planning, staff management and relationship building.”
