Cuba’s Newest Resort Opens in Varadero

Tour operator Sunwing has officially debuted its Grand Memories Varadero resort.

The property is the first in the Memories chain to carry the “Grand” moniker.

It includes 1,110 rooms and suites and is offered exclusively by Sunwing, the company said.

The all-suite adults-only section of Grand Memories Varadero is located beside the beach, with access to a private clubhouse and cigar bar, an exclusive pool and an adults-only restaurant, the company said in a release.

The property also includes a family-friendly section.

Sunwing has been on a major expansion push in Cuba in recent months through its Blue Diamond Hotels and Resorts company.
