It’s one of the great Caribbean fantasies: having your own private island.

Well, it’s actually possible — for $2.5 million.

This is the only private island off the coast of Salinas, Puerto Rico, a 25-acre cay about six minutes by boat from the mainland.

s4

The property is being listed by Puerto Rico Sotheby’s International Realty’s Margaret Pena Juvelier and Sandra Cuba.

s5

The property includes a small boat dock, a three-bedroom wood cabin, a swimming pool and more — and it all runs on solar power.

While there are numerous private islands for sale in places like the Bahamas (the region’s undisputed private island capital), something like this off the coast of Puerto Rico is a rather rare thing.

So what are you waiting for?
