AMResorts is continuing its Caribbean expansion with a new property in the Dutch Caribbean.

The company’s newest deal means an entry into the Aruba market, according to a company statement released this week.

The property will be called the Zoëtry® Isla Di Oro Aruba. The resort is slated to open in Aruba in 2018.

“We anticipate significant investment opportunities in the Americas in 2015, as demonstrated by the rapid growth of its hotel market and strong tourism figures last year,” said Alejandro Zozaya, CEO of parent company Apple Leisure Group. “The Caribbean alone saw a 5 percent increase in the number of tourists, and Mexico saw close to a 20 percent increase in tourists visiting in the first half of 2014.”

The 126-suite property will be the first Zoëtry branded resort in Aruba. It will be AMResorts’ second property in the Dutch Caribbean, along with the Sunscape Curacao Resort, Spa and Casino.

The company did not announce the planned location of the resort.
