Another airport is exploring the possibility of service to Haiti.

Florida’s Orlando International Airport announced that it was exploring the possibility of flights between Orlando and Port-au-Prince.

“We are currently working with the airlines to try to offer nonstop service between Orlando and Port-au-Prince,” the airport said on its web site.

For now, the airport is asking those “likely to use this service” to take a survey to provide more information about demand for the route.

As Haiti has been rebuilding its tourism sector, it has seen a wave of new flights from the United States, most notably new Miami-Cap-Haitien service and service from Fort Lauderdale to Port-au-Prince on JetBlue.
