The island of Nevis will soon play host to its first-ever Blues Festival.

The first annual Nevis Blues Festival will take place from April 16 to 19 at the Sundowners Stage on Oualie Bay.

The festival will include rising blues star Zac Harmon, UK-based jazz, gospel and blues singer Denise Gordon and and a host of other artists.

“We’re excited to premiere the Nevis Blues Festival as our newest cultural offering,” said Nevis Tourism Minister Mark Brantley. “Our aim is to present a highly anticipated annual event that celebrate both local and international talent while reflecting the beauty and cultural experience of Nevis.”

The festival adds to a growing profile for St Kitts and Nevis in the region’s music consciousness, highlighted by the annual St Kitts Music Festival.
