New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo is planning to lead a trade mission to Cuba this year, he announced.

The mission is one of a series of six foreign trade missions planned by the Governor this year to stops like Mexico, Canada and Israel.

Cuomo’s visit to Cuba will be “ in the coming weeks,” according to his office.

“Now, the doors to this market of more than 11 million people are being opened to New Yorkers, and New York businesses,” his office said in Cuomo’s 2015 Opportunity Agenda. “In the coming weeks, Governor Cuomo will lead a special trade mission to Cuba to expand opportunities for New York’s businesses across a multitude of sectors.”

This isn’t the first Caribbean foray for Cuomo, who visited the Dominican Republic last October, meeting with President Danilo Medina and Puerto Rico in the same month.
