The ninth edition of the Port-au-Prince International Jazz Festival begins Saturday in Haiti’s capital.

The weeklong festival includes artists from Haiti, the wider Caribbean and the world, including legendary Haitian group Boukman Esperyans, Trinidad and Tobago’s Etienne Charles, Switzerland’s Co-Streiff and perhaps Haiti’s most famous band, Tabou Combo, among others.

This year’s festival will include a total of 30 concerts, along with after-hours jam sessions and workshops by some of the artists at venues around the capital.

The main setting of the festival will be Port-au-Prince’s Champs de Mars plaza.

Each year, the festival attracts around 15,000 attendees, according to organizers.
