Dominican Republic President Danilo Medina will be visiting Puerto Rico on Tuesday, Puerto Rican authorities said Friday.
Medina’s visit to Puerto Rico comes about four months after Puerto Rico Governor Alejandro Garcia Padilla visited the Dominican Republic.
That trip was aimed at promoting commercial and technical exchanges between the two neighbours in the Caribbean.
In October, a Dominican delegation led by Minister of the Presidency Gustavo Montalvo visited Puerto Rico, following up on a bilateral agreement to review areas of potential further collaboration.
In 2013, Puerto Rico Secretary of State David Bernier visited the Dominican Republic, with both sides pledging to “relaunch” their bilateral relationship.
