Delta Airlines has officially begun new its new service from New York to Saint Lucia.
The inaugural New York-St Lucia flight touched down at St Lucia’s Hewanorra International Airport on Saturday afternoon.
The new service is part of a wider expansion push for the American carrier, which launched two new routes to Barbados earlier this month.
The weekly service out of John F Kennedy International Airport will operate every Saturday throughout the year.
The flights are operated on a Boeing 737-800 with 160 seats; the service departs New York at 8:30 AM, arriving in St Lucia at 2:10 PM.
The return flights depart St Lucia at 3:15 PM, arriving in New York around 7:07 PM.
