Slight Cabinet Reshuffle in Cayman

The Cayman Islands’ government has undergone a slight Cabinet reshuffle.

The moves, which will take effect Jan. 1, 2015, include the additional assumption by Premier Alden McLaughlin of the role of Minister of Health and culture, helped by chief officer Jennifer Ahearn.

Minister Osbourne Bodden will assume the duties of Minister for Community Affairs, while Bodden will also be in charge of Community Affairs, Youth and Sports.

Bodden had been holding the Health and Culture portfolio.

McLaughlin will remain the Minister of Home Affairs.

The moves were announced on Friday.
