The Paradise Beach Nevis boutique villa resort has named tourism industry veteran Steve Tyson its general manager.

Paradise Beach is set to open on Jan. 15, 2015.

Tyson comes to the property from the Nisbet Plantation Beach Club, where he spent the last 15 years as the resort’s rooms division manager.

“Steve is an extremely well-rounded manager,” said Richard Williams, president of Richard Williams and Associates, which manages Paradise Beach. “He brings a wealth of luxury travel experience to our property that is extremely focused on classic Caribbean hospitality, which is exactly what we want for this new boutique villa resort.”

In a statement, Tyson said it was a “privilege to be a part of opening team for Paradise Beach Nevis.”

“This is a unique and special property that is much needed here in Nevis. I’m eager to introduce it to the world and start welcoming guests,” he said.
