Memories Resorts Expands in Cuba

Memories Resorts is expanding in Cuba.

The company has acquired the former Riu Playa Turquesa in the area of Holguin, which will now be operated as Memories Holguin Resort.

The beachfront property has a total of 531 guestrooms and suites, along with seven restaurants and six bars, including a cigar bar.

Memories, a Blue Diamond Hotels and Resorts brand, operates all-inclusive resorts in the Bahamas, Cuba and the Dominican Republic.

Earlier this month, another Blue Diamond brand, Royalton, opened another resort in Cuba, the Royalton Hicacos Varadero Resort and Spa.
