Miami’s Haitian Heritage Museum is launching the fourth edition of its popular Les Jacmeliens art exhibit timed for the city’s famous Art Basel cultural week.
This year’s exhibition, Haiti Contemporary-Les Jacmeliens IV, is a solo exhibition by Haitian-American artist Charles Philippe Jean-Pierre.
Jean-Pierre is known for his “dynamic blend of vibrant graffiti, folk, graphics and multimedia,” the museum said in a release.
The exhibition will launch at the museum, which is based in Miami’s Design District, on Friday, Dec. 4 at 6:30.
Jean-Pierre will also be leading an Artist Talk on Dec. 5.
“By bridging Haitian contemporary artists from around the world with the local arts scene in the Miami Design District, this annual show will open up a cross border dialogue of vibrant artistic expressions by Haitian artists throughout the diaspora and Haiti,” the museum said.
