St Lucia’s Coconut Bay resort has named Kevin Hughes its new general manager.

Hughes will oversee a staff of more than 300 at the 250-room, all-inclusive property.

Hughes had previously served as the resort’s director of food and beverage for two years prior to his appointment.

Previously, he was executive director of food and beverage at the Wyndham Resort, Crystal Palace Casino Nassau, Bahamas and filled the same role at various Sandals properties in Jamaica and St Lucia.

“It is very exciting to have a strong leader and member of our team step into this role,” says Mark Adams, President and CEO of Coconut Bay. “During Kevin’s tenure as Food and Beverage Director he has overseen the renovation and expansion of our four restaurants and six bars and putting new menus and services into place. Most recently he was instrumental developing Capri’s new La Luna alfresco private dining experience and we look forward to seeing the same innovation as we continue to raise the bar on guest satisfaction.”
