A delegation from Argentina’s Ministry of Tourism is visiting St Lucia this week.

The delegation, which is visiting for the second straight year, is offering training and coursework for individuals in the maritime sector and other niche tourism areas.

The group is also meeting with St Lucia Tourism Minister Lorne Theophilus, among others; its visit is part of a wider meeting that will include discussions on the progress of an international bilateral cooperation project between the two countries.

Argentina has been pushing its tourism cooperation with the Caribbean region in recent years, with a similar initiative planned with the government of Guyana.

The delegation concludes its visit on Saturday.
