Trinidad Begins Work on $89 Million University Campus Project

Work is now underway at an $89 million university project in Trinidad.

The project is the Esmond Ramesar Open Campus Centre in the area of Chaguanas, with the first phase slated for completion in May 2015.

It wlll be the largest of any facility owned and operated by the University of the West Indies, according to Trinidad and Tobago Minister of Tertiary Education and Skills Training Fazal Karim.

The facility will occupy around 150,000 square feet, with the first phase set to include Academic Programming and Delivery Division (APAD) Centre, Computer and Technology Services (CATS) Centre, Registry, Finance Department, Country Site Administration Offices, HR Department and classrooms.
