One of the world’s leading golf course brands is coming to the Bahamas.

The PGA Tour’s TPC Network has partnered with Baha Mar to announce TPC at Baha Mar, TPC’s first golf course in the Caribbean.

When it opens in the spring of 2015, the Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course will be the 33rd course in the TPC Network and just its second international property.

“The PGA TOUR is thrilled to expand the TPC Network’s brand presence into the Caribbean for the first time by partnering with Baha Mar’s visionary resort destination,” said PGA Tour Co-Chief Operating Officer Charlie Zink. “TPC at Baha Mar truly epitomizes the standard of excellence and tournament-hosting capabilities for which TPC courses are recognized worldwide.”

TPC stands for Tournament Players Clubs.

In a statement, Baha Mar Chairman and CEO Sarkis Izmirlian said the project was “very proud that TPC at Baha Mar is the newest property in the PGA TOUR’s prestigious TPC Network of resort and private golf courses.”

“We’re committed to looking for the most extraordinary partners from around the world, whether it is at tee time or dinner time, to bring the best of the best to our guests at the new Bahamian Riviera,” he said.

The 7,189-yard course was originally slated to be called Royal Blue.
