NASSAU — A good hotel lobby should communicate personality, feeling and vibe.

First impressions set the stage, create an impression and initiate the experience.

A well-done arrival experience can make hours of travel, anticipation and expectation melt away the instant the bellman opens the door.

And few hotel lobbies are more impressive or better designed than the entrance lobby at The British Colonial in Nassau.

A beautiful classic hotel, the British Colonial in its present form was originally built in 1923, with a $90 million dollar upgrade in 1999.

It remains among the best and one of our favourites in the region.

The well trained staff, the architecture and design all work together in concert every time you walk in…

It all says: you have arrived.
