Carnival Cruise Lines is returning to the island of Dominica for the 2014/2015 season.
Dominica had been removed from the line’s itinerary in 2010.
According to Kathleen Cuffy-Jno Jules, the company’s return should be welcomed as a “good sign” for the island’s cruise sector.
“It may well be a test call to see if we are ready to receive them again,” she said in a government statement.
Carnival’s return is part of a wider group of eight new ships that will be making calls to the island this season.
