October is Breast Cancer Awareness month — marked in part by the use of the colour pink.
And one hotel is using rum to do its part — with a “pink coconut martini.”
The Fort Lauderdale Marriott Harbor Beach Resort & Spa is serving the cocktail, donating $1 to support breast cancer research any time a guest orders it.
And now you can make the cocktail yourself to show your support.
Here’s the recipe:
Ingredients:
1 1/2 oz Coconut Rum
1/2 oz Amaretto
2 oz Pineapple Juice
Splash of sour and cranberry juice
Method:
Pour ingredients in shaker over ice. Shakes 20 times and serve
Naturally, you should donate to the cause whether you’re taking a sip or not.
