ST JOHN — Yes, Trunk Bay is beautiful.
Trunk Bay is, of course, the most famous beach on the US Virgin Island of St John, and its fame is well deserved.
But there’s another spectacular beach in close proximity: Maho Bay.
And if you want a beach that’s a little quieter, a little less crowded and one that’s perhaps even more beloved by the locals, come here to Maho Bay.
The beach, which gets its name from a kind of tree that calls St John home, has it all: green hills, leaning palm trees, talcum-white sand and crystal-clear turquoise water.
The perfect place for a lazy afternoon.
