“There’s really fowl here,” my guide says, pointing to the crowing rooster, a play on words of course.
This is Foul Bay, an under-the-radar Atlantic coast beach not too far from the far more famous Crane Beach on the southeastern portion of the island.
It’s a wide, stunning thing, flanked by a pair of cliffs, with just a honeymooning couple under an umbrella and a few locals taking in the breeze.
It’s the perfect kind of quiet beach – just the sound of the waves and the wind.
And the rooster.
