Construction Underway at Kimpton Hotel in Cayman Islands

ST THOMAS — Construction is officially underway at the Kimpton hotel project in Grand Cayman, according to Cayman Islands Director of Tourism Rosa Harris.

The hotel will include a combination of 263 hotel rooms and 56 residences, along with five restaurants, conference space and a full-service spa.

The project is being developed by Dart Realty, which also developed Cayman’s Camana Bay mixed-use development, among others.

The property, which was first announced in July 2013, is slated to open in 2016.

The project is being designed by SB Architects, which has offices in San Francisco, Miami and Shenzen, China.
