Bermuda saw a 2.4 percent drop in tourist arrivals in the first half of 2014, according to new data from the Caribbean Tourism Organization.

The island received 103,787 visitors in the first six months of 2014.

While Bermuda saw a 4.4 percent increase in arrivals during the winter tourist season, it saw a large drop in the summer season that brought down totals.

In the summer months, Bermuda experienced an 8 percent reduction in tourists compared to the same period in 2013.

The island’s biggest decline came from the European source market, which showed a 4.5 percent drop in arrivals.

US tourism dropped by 1.7 percent in the same period.
