Dubai Trade Delegation Makes Visit to Dominican Republic

Officials from the United Arab Emirates organization Dubai Trade visited the Dominican Republic this week.

The delegation was led by Dubai Trade CEO Mahmood Al Bastaki.

Dubai Trade is a trade facilitation entity aimed at promoting the Emirate as a major trade and logistics hub.

It is a subsidiary of Dubai World.

The group’s delegation met Monday with Dominican Republic President Danilo Medina, discussing the country’s potential as a major logistics centre in the Caribbean region, according to a statement from the National Palace.

Medina was joined at the meeting by Minister of the Presidency Gustavo Montalvo and other Dominican officials.
