Regional telecom provider LIME will be investing $10 million to improve networks in St Kitts and Nevis, the government announced this week.

LIME will invest $4.5 million to expand 4G coverage in the twin-island federation, with another $5.4 million investment aimed at upgrading broadband services in the country.

“We will work closely with the people and government of St. Kitts and Nevis to deliver your national vision for greater broadband penetration,” said LIME Group CEO Phil Bentley. “We remain committed to deliver network improvements, superior customer service and more product innovation to fuel the wheels of your industry.”

LIME is one of the biggest investors in the Caribbean region, in the midst of a wider $1.05 billion capital investment programme to upgrade its regional networks.

Two LIME executives officially informed St Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister Dr Denzil Douglas of the plan earlier this week.
