Regional air carrier LIAT has announced changes to its commercial structure.

The changes include the appointment of Lloyd Carswell as the company’s new Chief Commercial Officer; Carswell will serve in the role on an interim basis for three to four months.

LIAT said a Director of Commercial Operations and a Director of Commercial Delivery would both report to Carswell.

“These changes will entail the move of six positions from Barbados to Antigua, although only five of these positions are currently occupied by LIAT staff in Barbados,” LIAT said in a release.

Leesa Parris-Rudder, who oversees sales and marketing, customer experience and cargo, will remain in Barbados. Total staff numbers in these positions total 275 in the Caribbean.

LIAT said it would also strengthen the airline’s “airport delivery organization,” with the appointment of a Customer Service Manager.

That role will be based in Barbados.
