St Kitts’ Kittitian Hill development has officially opened the Great House of its Belle Mont Farm hotel, which is set to debut in December.

The project also opened its new The Kitchen restaurant and The Mill bar, along with an employee-training programme that includes a culinary academy.

St Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister Dr Denzil Douglas and Tourism Minister Ricky Skerritt were on hand for the grand opening last week.

Both the kitchen and bar are located within the Great House; the restaurant will preview the property’s signature farm-to-table fare on Fridays through Sundays.

“The philosophy of Kittitian Hill is ingrained in the rich culture and history of this island, so the people of St. Kitts are an integral part of our story,” said Kittitian Hill founder Val Kempadoo. “We feel that it is important to celebrate this significant milestone with the community, as we are all part of this journey that will have a positive impact for generations to come.”

Belle Mont Farm is set to open Dec. 12, with 84 guesthouses and seven four-bedroom “farmhouses.” It will be managed by Sedona Resorts.

It is the first phase of a larger resort project set on 400 acres near St Kitts’ Mount Liamuiga.

The wider project is slated to include the Yaya Groves villa community; the Mango Walk spa; the Table restaurant and Red Rum bar and a “village” with restaurants and shops.

The property will also include a golf course, Irie Fields.
