American Airlines Sees Slight Dip in Latin America, Caribbean in June

American Airlines saw a slight dip in revenue passenger miles in June, according to the company’s latest traffic results.

The company reported a total of 2.7 billion revenue passenger miles last month, down 0.1 percent from the same month in 2013.

For the year, revenue passenger miles to Latin America and the Caribbean were up by 3.1 percent, slightly ahead of the company’s 2.5 percent improvement for all international flights.

The carrier’s total revenue passenger miles for the month were 19.9 billion, up 10 percent compared to the same period in 2013.

Note: Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands are included in domestic results, which were up by 0.9 percent overall last month.
