St Kitts and Nevis Opens Embassy in Cuba

St Kitts and Nevis has officially opened an embassy in Havana, Cuba.

St Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister Dr Denzil Douglas inaugurated the embassy during an official visit to Cuba’s capital last week.

Douglas was joined at the opening ceremony by Foreign Minister Patrice Nisbett, Cuban officials and a group of CARICOM Ambassadors.

The opening came at the end of Douglas’ four-day visit, which also included a meeting with Cuban leader Raul Castro.

Douglas was joined on the trip by Kenneth Douglas, the country’s Ambassador-Designate to Cuba, Jose Rosa, Vice President of the Manufacturing Division of the St Kitts and Nevis Chamber of Industry and Commerce and press secretary Erasmus Williams.
