Officials from Trinidad and Tobago and India held talks this week on the sidelines of the 21st World Petroleum Congress in Moscow.

Trinidad and Tobago Energy Minister Kevin Ramnarine met with Dharmendra Pradhan, India’s Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas.

The two were joined by BC Tripathi, the chairman of India’s GAIL (Gas Authority of India Limited) and Selwyn Lashley, permanent secretary in Trinidad’s Ministry of Energy.

In a statement, Trinidad’s government said the talks focused on cooperation between the two sides in the liquefied natural gas industry.

Trinidad is the sixth-largest exporter of LNG in the world.
