The Caribbean Basin is going on to the next round of the World Cup.

Costa Rica won the World Cup’s Group D following a tie with England and a loss by Italy.

The surprising Costa Ricans advanced to the Round of 16 despite a game that saw England hold the ball for 56 percent of the match.

Costa Rica had just four shots and two on goal, while England had eight shots and one on goal at the Estadio Mineirao in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.

Costa Rica’s shocking Group play included two wins and a draw.

The finish and Uruguay’s victory over Italy gave the former a ticket to the next round as well.
