The Las Olas By Metro condominium project has been inaugurated in the Dominican Republic.

The beachfront residential tourism project has a total area of 40,000 square feet, with 246 apartments and 525 rooms.

President Danilo Medina was on hand for the opening ceremony of the project, which is located in the town of Juan Dolio in the San Pedro de Macoris province.

In a statement, Tourism Minister Francisco Javier Garcia said that Juan Dolio was an area of “major importance” for the country’s tourism product, in large part due to its proximity to Santo Domingo and the country’s Las Americas International Airport.

The joint foreign and domestic project is the latest in the country developed by the Metro Country Club group.
