Guyana President Donald Ramotar, Digicel Chairman Denis O’Brien Hold Talks

Digicel Chairman Denis O’Brien called on Guyana President Donald Ramotar in Georgetown this week, the government sad in a statement.

O’Brien was joined by the company’s CEO for Central America and the Caribbena, Regis Romerio, non-executive director Clifford Reis and CEO of Digicel Guyana Gregory Dean.

Digicel has more than five million subscribers in the Caribbean, with operations in 23 markets, including Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Aruba, Barbados, Bermuda, Bonaire, the Cayman Islands, Curacao, Dominica, El Salvador, French Guiana, Grenada, Guadeloupe, Guyana, Haiti, Martinique, St Kitts & Nevis, St Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname, Turks and Caicos and Trinidad and Tobago.

The company was first launched in 2001.

The government did not elaborate on the nature of the meeting in its release.
