JetBlue has announced the addition of a new daily nonstop route from Fort Lauderdale to Cartagena, Colombia.

The new route will begin on Oct. 29, 2014, departing at 12 PM and arriving at 1:54 PM in Cartagena. The return flight will leave at 2:50 PM and arrive at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport at 6:40 PM.

The flight is the latest in a significant Caribbean expansion push for JetBlue, which has recently added regional destinations including Port-au-Prince, Port of Spain, Montego Bay and Punta Cana out of Fort Lauderdale.

“We are excited to offer our South Florida customers even more choices by adding two more exciting destinations,” said JetBlue President Robin Hayes.

As of Oct. 29, the New York City-based carrier will offfer 32 nonstop routes originating in Fort Lauderdale.

“We plan to offer 100 daily flights by 2017,” Hayes said.

Last year, JetBlue added service from Fort Lauderdale to Medellin.
