Puerto Rico Lightly Shaken By 3.8-Magnitude Earthquake

Puerto Rico was lightly shaken by a 3.8-magnitude earthquake on Wednesday evening, according to data from the United States Geological Survey.

The quake, which occurred at around 10:03 PM local time, struck at a depth of 41 kilometres.

Its epicentre was about 53 kilometres north of Isabela and about 105 kilometres west-northwest of San Juan.

The quake was felt across western Puerto Rico, with other reports of shaking on the southern and northern coasts of Puerto Rico’s main island.

Puerto Rico is within a seismically active region.
