GRENADA — Caribbean Journal recently attended the grand opening of the new Sandals LaSource Grenada resort. Join Caribbean Journal on location as we bring you a first look of the property in 11 slides.  Above is the brand-new Italian Village with en-suite infinity edge plunge pools, Japanese soaking tubs and swim up river pool rooms on the ground floor level. In total there are 231 rooms and 9 restaurants and more, but it when you are soaking in this pool it feels more like a boutique resort. Many of the rooms have private or semi- private pools.

Unique water features include soaking tubs, Jacuzzis and outdoor showers. This is a private patio in one of the new Millionaire suites.

Waterfalls, lush landscaping and a well designed architecture add privacy and style of the South Seas Village rooms, above.

A view to infinity. On the top floor of the Italian Village this plunge pool sky suite leaves nothing above but the wide-open Grenadian sky. If you need anything –like more ice, just call your private butler.

Let it all soak in! Many special water features are also inside the rooms. This is a millionaire suite bathroom that opens to the outside from the designer soaking tub and adjacent dual header rain shower.

A spa and a well-done all inclusive resort experience go together like a pairing of fine wine with a gourmet dinner. You really need both for the full experience. At Sandals LaSource’s Red Lane Spa, trained technicians administer rejuvenating treatments and a full compliment of spa services.

Nothing says service better than a friendly staff to greet you as you arrive at Club Sandals upon arrival.

There are nine restaurants where internationally-trained chefs prepare gastronomic experiences from around the world.  Above is the Cioppino from Neptune’s on the beach. Food sourced  from the ocean, breeze sourced from the sea.

The property is right on Pink Gin Beach. Here it is at sunset.
