BP plc Chairman Carl Henric Svanberg visited Trinidad and Tobago earlier this week, according to the country’s government.
On Wednesday, Svanberg, who is also the chairman of Volvo, met with Trinidad Energy Minister Kevin Ramnarine and Finance Minister Larry Howai at the Trinidad Hilton.
That meeting included Norman Christie, president of BPTT and Giselle Thompson, vice president of corporate operations at BPTT.
It was Svanberg’s first visit to Trinidad and Tobago, and came after BP plc CEO Bob Dudley visited the country in October 2013.
In a statement, the government said the talks focused on BP’s “upcoming investments in Trinidad and Tobago and the global outlook for the oil and gas industry.”
