The Sheraton Puerto Rico Hotel and Casino has named Sam Basu its new general manager, the property announced.

Basu, a 23-year veteran of the industry, was most recently the hotel manager of the St Regis Bahia Beach Resort in Puerto Rico.

“We’re delighted to add Basu’s knowledgeable perspective as we continue catering to San Juan’s influx of discerning travelers,” said Jeannette Aviles, director of sales and marketing at the resort. “His proven global successes and superior knowledge of Puerto Rico as a destination will further elevate our efforts as one of the leading hotels in the Caribbean.”
