Montserrat Saw 10 Percent Increase in Visitor Arrivals Last Year

Montserrat saw a 10 percent increase in visitor arrivals last year compared to 2012, according to new data from the British Overseas Territory’s government.

In total, Montserrat received 15,648 visitors, up from 14,210 in 2012, an increase of 1,438 people.

The government said the largest number of visitors in any month was in December, when the island received 2,456 visitors.

The visitor totals included both tourists and returning Montserratians.
