Incoming Trinidad and Tobago Tourism Minister Gerry Hadeed has made his first official visit to Tobago.

The trip included talks with Tobago Chief Secretary Orville London and tourism officials including Tobago Tourism Secretary Tracy Davidson-Celestine.

Hadeed, who called his Ministry “facilitators of the tourism product in Tobago,” gave a commitment that a new airport terminal would be built at the ANR Robinson International Airport.

“”I have been fully briefed by the former [tourism] minister Stephen Cadiz and I am not going to change anything,” Hadeed said.

The Minister said that he was a businessman and that tourism was a business, vowing to bring his “experience and knowledge to the table.”

Hadeed is a former Chairman of the Trinidad and Tobago Airports Authority.
