Dominican Republic Begins Annual Tourism Conference in Punta Cana

PUNTA CANA — The Dominican Republic has officially kicked off its national tourism conference in the area of Punta Cana.

DATE, the Dominican Annual Tourism Exchange, is being held this year at the Paradisus Palma Real hotel, which debuted its new, 42,000-square-foot Convention Center at the end of 2013.

The conference brings together international wholesalers, tour operators, incentive groups, airlines and charter operators and Dominican tourism suppliers.

DATE is the largest tourism conference in the Dominican Republic and among the largest in the wider Caribbean region.

The conference, which is held each year by ASONAHORES, the Dominican Republic’s hotel and tourism association, concludes on Friday.
